Kapil is a businessman from Surat, who started his first business at the age of 15. Kapil started a retail pharmacy in 2005 and later went on to open one of the biggest retail showroom Sun Surgicals that dealt with all types of Surgical instruments and medical devices. He has worked on a lot of projects with cosmetics, car service centers and diamond merchants parallelly.
He later started a company called Laher Healthcare Pvt Ltd which was into importing medical products. Kapil met Ankur and Suhas in Bombay in an exhibition and instantly felt that connection as they were one of the very few youngsters who were importing medical devices in India. After a few months of understanding each other and the respective business models, Kapil became part of the Medequip family.
Ankur managed a team of 17 engineers to maintain systems across 8 processes at Cipsatec India Pvt Ltd., the second biggest manufacturer of printed circuit boards in India. He was instrumental in getting Cipsatec ISO and TS certified. He implemented new technologies and spearheaded projects to continuously improve the efficiency of the various departments. Received training from Industries Top Technocrats from Europe in Quality Management Systems.
Ankur is the backbone of Medequip’s technical training and handles the service issues throughout India. He also has trained several Biomedical engineers across the nation to handle service related issues and deal with problems immediately. He led the company to reach the targets by expanding to new territories and ventured horizontally to capture Market.
Suhas co-founded SLN Surgicals in 2013, one of the top retail outlets in Bangalore for Hospital Equipments & Surgical Instruments. In the course of running the business, he saw the potential for import and distribution of rehabilitation & home healthcare products and co-founded Medequip Healthcare Solutions. Before starting SLN & Medequip, Suhas worked as a strategy consultant for Gorgy timing, France, and as a project manager in McCann Erickson for Brands like Britannia, TVS, Titan Eye Plus and Tata Tea.
During his 8 years stint in the healthcare industry, he has focused on product sales, staff training, and Brand building for the company. A recognized trailblazer in the industry, he participates in various top medical and healthcare events in India and abroad and is acknowledged for his practical insights and sense of humor. His unique initiative of bringing together healthcare distributors and veteran doctors for a product showcase, has got him immense appreciation.
